Coping With the Loss

I often want to crawl into my bed and pull the covers over my head . If  I could just take myself  back to that day and do it all over again I could make things better . Better for everyone who was effected by Taylor’s death. As unrealistic as that sounds it sure beats living  this nightmare that I’ll never wake up from. Or the endless darkness and huge void in my heart that was once so full of his life, love, and laughter.  Cope !  How do you do that ?  All I want to do is run , run as fast and far away as possible. But I can’t , there is no running , no hiding , just facing the worst thing that can happen to a parent. Its all about coping and dealing with the reality that he’s gone and not coming back.  Knowing what I feel is okay and allowing myself to disconnect from this tragedy so I can continue to function and live for those still here.  Being a role model not only to my children but to others who suffer as well.  There is hope to finding a new normal in life by taking  positive action to move forward through grief   in honor and memory of my son so loved by many.
